The FMC Organization Record detail page displays FMC organization record and contact information for the selected VOCC, OTI/NVOCC, Conference, or Marine Terminal Operator. The organization name and number are displayed as registered and published by the US Federal Maritime Commission (FMC).
The organization number facilitates and organizes the registration of tariff publication locations by vessel-operating ocean common carriers (VOCCs), non-vessel-operating common carriers (NVOCCs), conferences, and marine terminal operators (MTOs) as required by Section 8 of the Shipping Act of 1984. The Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) uses this registration information to permit shippers and other members of the public to obtain reliable and useful information concerning the rates and charges that will be assessed by common carriers and conferences for their transportation services; to ensure that carrier tariff publications are accurate and accessible; to protect the public from violations by carriers; and to review and monitor the activities of controlled carriers.
For historical purposes the FMC Organization Record list includes organizations whose tariffs have expired. We maintain tariffs for five years after cancellation as per FMC regulations (46 CFR Part 520.10).
Organizations with no currently effective FMC tariffs published on www.dpiusa.com are shown as "Inactive". Organizations with currently effective tariffs are shown as "Active".
