What information do we collect?

We collect information from our web users when users register on our site or subscribe to our newsletter.

When registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address or phone number. You may visit our site anonymously, however a valid email address is required for any access to FMC tariffs published by our organization.

DPI provides access to tariffs in accordance with U.S. Federal Maritime Commission Regulations.

Free and Full Access Users and DPI Member Access: name, company name, company address, email address, and phone number.

We collect browser agent information from web user sessions to assist with the continued functionality of our website. We also collect an Internet Protocol (IP) address when required to troubleshoot and assist with user login issues and to monitor and control secure account access.

What do we use your information for?

The information we collect from you may be used in the following ways:

To process transactions
Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased service requested.

To send periodic emails
The email addresses you provide on your account will be used to send information and updates pertaining to your web user account on www.dpiusa.com as well important service updates and announcements from Distribution Publications, Inc.

To send our monthly newsletter (with opt-in)
Signals™ is our monthly newsletter that provides detailed information on the regulations and activities of the US Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) and related developments in the ocean freight industry. When creating an account, web users may select a language choice to receive this monthly newsletter via email. You may OPT-OUT at any time using the links at the bottom of every Signals™ email, or update your preferences under the Account Information page on https://members.dpiusa.com

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access this information. Our domain is certified by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) security technology for encrypted, authenticated communications with our servers.

If you cancel your account, your email will no longer be used to process transactions and will not receive important service updates and announcements from Distribution Publications, Inc. If you opted to receive our monthly newsletter, your email will be removed when your account is cancelled. If your email is associated with multiple accounts on www.dpiusa.com, all accounts must be cancelled to be removed from all email lists.

Users may request complete removal of their personal information upon written request to DPI. Users may also request their personal information in a portable exported format upon written request to DPI. Please send all requests to privacy@dpiusa.com.
